Inspector of Hotels and Multiple Dwellings and Housing Code Officials
In December 2001, the regulations for the Maintenance of Hotels and Multiple Dwellings were modified to grant local inspectors the right to enforce those regulations in their own jurisdictions.
In the Summer of 2005, an amendment appeared in the New Jersey registry regarding mandatory continuing education seminars for licensed Hotels and Multiple Dwellings and Housing Code Officials for each three-year license cycle. Continuing education requirements have been increased to better meet the professional needs of licensed inspectors, officials and the public.
Starting Fall 2009, all technical and administrative seminars for the Inspectors of Hotels and Multiple Dwellings and Housing Code Officials are offered by the Center for Government Services, Rutgers University. To see full course offerings, please click here.
